I never heard of a man using mace before other than a cop? from TX? That doesn't fit the cowboy image. I thought it was more of a woman thing. Just put you a brick in your Gucci Pocketbook. That'll knock em out. :biggrin_25523:

<< Retired cop... and most walking mail persons use mace as well. Mace doesn't get you sent to prison, where shooting them would, whether they deserve it or not.

    Wargames Thanks this.

Mace and pepper spray are illegal here in the great white north. Bear spray, on the other hand, is not. :biggrin_255:

I don't park at the fuel island... ever (nor do I wash my truck with the squeegee, etc.). When I am done fuelling I pull through and if I'm going to be gone longer than just getting my receipt and maybe a very quick bathroom stop, then I'll go park. Every time.

I was stopped to fuel at the Eagle in Beaver, UT, and it was reasonably busy so I had to wait. Then I had to go inside to give them my credit card and turn on the pump. Of course the counter was about five deep so that took a few minutes. When I came out to my truck, there was a husband and wife team behind me. As I'm putting the nozzles in the tanks the wife comes up to me and says, "C'mon, hurry up. Chop. Chop.", and claps her hands when she says this. I'm thinking, did this really just happen? :biggrin_2556:

It takes a looong time to put in 200 gal. with the nozzles on the slowest setting. I could have sworn I saw little puffs of steam coming out of their truck. :biggrin_2559:

It does if a jury decides that macing someone who is moving just a little slower than you think the other fella ought to is agravated assault.

Keep interpreting it into whatever you want... I've never maced someone for being slow. I've maced a crackhead who was trying to knock the mirror off my driver's side, and 2 drivers who wanted to fight... and a couple others over the years, one included a knife. This doesn't count my "on duty" mace usage.

When you walk through the woods up north you should always wear little bells and carry mace because of the bears.

Do you know how to tell the difference between a brown bear and a Grizzly ???
Look closely at their crap........The Grizzlies' crap has little bells in it and smells like Mace.

    Wargames and lostNfound Thank this.

Yeah, well... there's a hug difference between "less than lethal force" and being someone who goes bear hunting with mace. I've been elk, mule deer, whitetail and moose hunting, but never bear...if I did go bear hunting, I'd make sure to bring something stronger than mace. Like wasp spray.

I dont think he meant hunting, he probably used it in case of an attack by a bear. Could you imagine if they made a mase, that had a skunk smell. Now that would be nasty.LOL
