My experience with FFE has been a living nightmare from the very start. No need to get onto big details and clutter up this posting. All I can say is my pay checks where a disaster. If I was paid by the hour instead of mileage pay I be making just above minimum wage if that much. So after 5 months of hell I finely said no more. I did more setting at shippers and receivers than you can imagine. Upwards to 3 days. And now FFE is trying to put inside video cameras in there company trucks to monitor the driver that can record everything you do. It can even record all audio as well, Invasion of drivers privacy I say. Needless to say my truck was chosen in random selection to get the video camera this is when I cleaned out my truck on 02/14/2013. There are a lot of other trucking companies that except drivers with fewer than 6 months experience. The trick is picking one that you can deal with the BS better. For me FFE is a sour apple and for the trucking industry as well.

pigsooie, I do agree with you that FFE has their problems, and there is no need to clutter up this site discussing them. The only thing I can say is I hope others learn from our postings about how bad FFE actually is. They used to be an AWESOME company in the old days, now they are #1 on the list of BAD companies for me. I guess they are getting to big to fail, but I always say too big to fail=too big too allow. Whatever you do Pigsooie, I hope it makes you happy and congratulations on breaking the FFE curse.

FFE is a sour apple and to the trucking industry. I tried to do my best for FFE butt what I get?? Pay checks less than minimum wage for the hours I worked. My tax return can prove this. I started with FFE 09-26-2012 Three months only $ 5,000 to be reported to the IRS for gross income.

Needless to say I have left this company and going to US Express. I just hope I not choose another bad apple.

I have been with FFE for 15 months now. I started as a company driver and after my last paycheck of $3.19, I decided to go Lease Op. I know, not the smartest move, but I can honestly say it has worked for me. Of course, the weekly payments are a high ($771), but its all about bargain shopping for your fuel, getting out of the pedal ( yes, 70 MPH is nice) and properly budgeting for fuel. There are great weeks, good weeks and bad weeks. That's with every company. Not sure what is going on in Dallas, but the way the loads are coming, it feels like a buy-out is coming. Last week in Lancaster, I counted over 80 out of service trailers, some are 2013 trailers. Yet they keep pushing out students, flooding the roads and truck stops with rookies just sitting. The rumor mill around the yard is KLLM. Not sure any truth to the rumor, but it seems to be somewhat valid.
-
I heard the kllm rumor to but I am definitely not sitting I had 3100 miles from last sat (10:30pm) to tommorow at (8:30am) when I talk to alot of drivers who went to school with me they almost always lack the small skills to adjust to things as small as the elogs to waiting till completly unloadi g to put in the available for dispatch form. This things can add up to valuable minutes and hours of lost time causing drivers to lose there potential miles and money.
-
Also you must be flexible in working with the planners and dispatch refusing or complaining about short or repeated returning loads only fuels the fire in pissing dispatch off. You never know when that small load leads to a big one .I suppose I should thank all those rookie o/op's that turn down what they seem to think as none paying loads there loss my gain.

remember the rumors about Celedon buying FFE? turns out Celedon did buy the American Eagle dry van's but not FFE.
I always do the best I can for my employer regardless of the company name.
