Just a couple:
1. Your trying to pass someone, and the 4-wheeler behind you thinks it's completely necessary to keep swerving to your left to make sure you know that they are there and getting irritated
2. Like many others, people who take forever to get up to speed when merging.
3. I work for Mclanes and when I set up to make a delivery, nothing irritates me more than when I don't even make it to the back of the truck to set up my ramp, someone has parked directly behind me. grrrr. On the same note, when I am already set up and making a delivery, people squeeze around my truck to park, then they want to give me hell because they can't get out! You got in didn't you?!?!
4. Had this happen for the first time on my 1st route. Was doing a dock stop, while I was circling to back in, a UPS truck absolutely hauls in there and cuts me off. I wasn't going slow either, I knew what he was gonna do but, I wasn't fast enough lol
Drivers ... what is your greatest pet peeve about truckin'?

1. Either no use or two blinks of the blinker. I hate it when people don't use one or just blink it once. Its there to SIGNAL your coming over. Use it to LET people know your coming over not use it once you've already come over.
2. When I get over to let a truck merge on from a off ramp and you speed up, keep me in the left lane and just give me a sneer look as you pass me. So next time you can slam in to me or sloe down.. I ain't moving over for ya.SheepDog Thanks this. -
People that insist they see all these trucks going 100mph down the highway. I want to drive one of those trucks once.
Corsair4me and Moon_beam Thank this. -
I drive for dcs (jbhunt) the biggest peeve is going to a new store and not knowing which side of the building to enter and number 2 is the dumbaswes that use the freight entrance to get out of the store faster

All mine have pretty much been mentioned so, I won't steal anyone's glory. I would have to say one that wasn't mentioned that really gets me is when every bobtail in the truck stop has to park in their own spot so when I come in late that day, I have no place to park my trk/trlr. If you are one of these people, please stop. Two bobtails can park in one spot.
That being said, I guess my biggest all time pet-peeve is; the amount of unprofessionalism in our industry. -
When a shipper calls in for a last minute load (and then when you get there and theyre no where even close to being ready to load you (local on demand p/u). Also mainly new guys that just have to pass you and then cant because they dont have enough power,so you let them in then you end up running up on them a mile later(even after you drop back). Also tailgaters in one lane construction zones(acting like youre supposed to be speeding(because they want to) And deliveries to the Ford plant. I mean you take the Master Part # bin sticker into the shack, and they still dont know where to send you?
Corsair4me Thanks this. -
I hate live Austrlia as you do the miles and they pay #### and give work to driver that are late evry time and treat you like #### your tractor looks like new and clean and you do all the #### and do follow the rules as ask not to do things in your log you should not yet 3 weeks no miles since xmas I want come home

Lately my biggest thing is all the new rules that make no sense and make it more dangerous to drive. Examples.....
No trucks over 24 tons in the left hand lane. The interstates were built for trucks. Eisenhower lead a truck convoy to California around the 1920's. When he was in Germany and saw the autoban he figured that it would be good for America. The interstates were for trucks not cars, but trucks are treated like second class citizens.
That stupid 30 minute safety break and your 34 hours having to include two 1-5 AM time periods. I like driving during the night time when there is less traffic. The 30 minute break is just long enough to make me sleepy.Jokingypsy, Joetro, Moon_beam and 2 others Thank this.
