Drivers ... what is your greatest pet peeve about truckin'?

The people that make the signs in the truckstop restroom showing a picture of throwing tp in the toilet not the floor necessary.

 

nasty restrooms at the truckstops. why don't these guys flush the toilet? geez nothin worse than going in to take a whiz and having to see a log floating around

 

Guys that use the toilet instead of the Urinal, when there is one available...than pee all over the lid, that sucks when you got to go number 2

I'll repeat what 90% of the responses are.....other truckers.

I used to have respect for truckers, I thought what they did was tough and they carried it out with dignity. No more. 50% of truckers I encounter are narcissistic, self-centered, ill mannered, hateful, juvenile, egotistical pricks......much like LTL boy who thinks everyone is cruel too him because they envy him. Frankly, it's the LTL guys that are some of the worst....more specifically, the line haul guys that do the same run day in day out year in year out (yeah, I got that envy thing just burnin' up right now), and the only excitement they get out of life is when they shave 30 seconds off a run (because, technically, you're getting paid more, don't ya see....) or trying to beat their buddy back to the barn.

All of it......people cutting me off or crowding my lane when passing
people who won't let you back over after you let them in
people who pull onto the fuel island with no intention of getting fuel.....5 of 8 islands blocked south of Houston, one of which was blocked by a pair of morons eating breakfast at Dennys
Avrett driver tonight at Dollar General in Bessimer.......cuts in front of me and a Western Express driver at the gate.....just friggin' pulls in front of both of us as though that was the protocol
Swift, 2 nights ago tries to pass me on the SHOULDER OF THE ROAD.....and folks, this was the new part of 59 eastbound out of Birmingham where the shoulder of the road is a strip of loose gravel about 3 feet wide
Schneider driver.....sees that I'm waiting to get fuel (at the aforementioned Pilot in south Houston) and decides now would be a good time to DETAIL every piece of glass on the truck.....multiple times
Johnny Hot Rod that has to show all of us just how loud his jake is IN EVERY GEAR running through straight pipes

The rest of it, the disgusting, the nasty, the lack of self esteem or respect.....I personally have no problem with primarily because it doesn't affect me.

I really like trucking; I like who I work for, and I like what I do. But frankly, it's a wonder you don't see a fist fight every night at the truck stops because of the way some drivers act. That's what my biggest pet peeve is.
