Driving for Scholastic books, any information on them?

I'm out of the Charlotte area and I've heard lots over the years about Carolina Cargo. All bad. I'd stay away from them and I wouldn't consider TMC, either. I've been trucking 40 yrs and a private carrier would probably be best, depending on your schedule. The only food service company I'd recommend is Martin Brower - the ones with the McDonald's account. No hand trucking, it's all done on rollers and GREAT pay and benefits! I only worked there up in Enfield, CT for one year about 25 yrs ago, just to save up to move down here. Not sure what Golden States pays, but they have the McDonald's in this region. I've also heard Haddon House was looking for drivers as recently as this past year and their reputation was good, supposedly.

 

I have a suggestion and it is one you need to take and use.


JUST APPLY TO THEM AND GET GOING.

there is not a lot of differences between these types of companies and most of them pay well but it really comes down to you.

See being brutally honest, we don't know you, so we can't answer questions to see if you are going to like it or not, only you can tell us.

So if you think it is a good fit, as you said they train rookies, then go for it, because the only thing you have to lose is time.
