The Qcomm and Navigo are the biggest distractions, I don't even remember the camera is there, unless I'm trying to get it to block the sun just right.

Chewey2 Thanks this.

Why not ban billboards? That's a big distraction.
Heathar and TransplantBadger Thank this. -
Just a quick update...one company has been knocked out of contention due to false reporting. This month, we started getting in new trucks with cameras in them so I guess the test is over and cameras are on the way
-
Dont get it.
Anyway, pardon for not teading the whole thread, but id heard that the recording and reporting from the cameras is all third party. A third party has to be paid. A company trying to save 100 million should probably back burner such an idea as cameras....right?
Makes sense to me anyway...
I really hope youte incorrect about the test being over and such.Chewey2 Thanks this. -
I find it funny a 5/2-5/3 has been up for bid three rotations so far and no one is on it because there is a camera in one of the trucks. Might be a clue how this is going to go over if they go fleetwide. -
Have they looked into possibly installing jammers in the trucks that block phone signals while the truck is moving?
Assuming such a creation exists, since cell phones seem to be Walmart's primary grievance that would be both a hell of a lot less trouble, AND eliminate the unintended consequences like the guy that got canned for sending a text while he was stopped. -
I think they would be happy if folks could just quit hitting yellow poles.
billthetrucker, TransplantBadger and Chewey2 Thank this. -
Those poles need to stop jumping out in front of trucks.
