Hi drivers....going to be brief. I spent many years running OTR, reefer and van. I haven't seen it all but I know the ins and outs and am happy to help anybody with a question. There is a lot to love open the open road, there is a lot that will make you bitter and angry. The right piece of mind and a supportive significant other is very important. As I said, I wrote a book on here a couple weeks ago and was perhaps too honest.....so this is the toned down version. I will answer any questions maybe sometimes privately if need be.....but I am looking to make some friends and a support group.....and I need both for a good reason. On July 8th out of the clear blue I had a seizure and ultimately was found to have brain cancer. I have 48-96 months to live, although I plan to beat that....truck drivers always go the extra mile you know :) I have no family but I have one helluva wife. She actually spent 4 years living full time on the truck with me when we had no home. I could not have ever dreamed of finding a better soulmate. So anyways, I'll check this board every couple hours or so....if I can help anyone I'd love to try, if I can make a friend that's even better. I spent time in the beginning with Swift and worked my way to a great company of just 12 trucks. If I can help, I will be happy to. Here is my request....I am denied unemployment because one of the conditions to get unemployment is to be searching for a job. With a cancer diagnosis and seizure disorder the state has seized my CDL....and the surgeon has stated clearly.....no work and no stress because if the tumor bleeds at all that could be the end. So, no unemployment....I filed for disability and the state said yes, I should qualify however that won't kick in for 5-6 months. So until that time I am scratching food shelves and whatever I can to get by. As I said, I work for a great employer, well, I did anyway. They set up a fundraiser for me to ask for donations, even just $1 is huge so please don't think I am asking for anything significant. It's all legit, at a website and I think thru Paypal or something so its safe. So please, if you have $1 to spare it would mean the world to me and might just help my wife and I get by for 4-5 more months. In return I'll get on here as often as possible and help whenever I can. I'll post a link....anyone with a minute and a kind heart...good Lord you are appreciated. God Bless all you drivers, be safe. Robert
