Almost the whole way across in the same lane running with the flow of traffic. Much safer than poking along in the right lane having to move over to let the on ramp traffic on the freeway and then back to the slow lane.

It's not about how fast I can go, it's about running with the traffic. I've been doing it this way for a while, and I haven't even been close to having a accident, off course I'm watching way out in front of me, not just riding behind another truck where I can't see anything.

Driver, I would really like you to be in the cab with me (not driving thanks) in rush hour traffic in any major city. I would really like to hear what you have to say about the "drive the way I want" idiots speeding thru the traffic, passing right and left, cutting off cars and trucks alike at far less than 1 trucklength, no signals and mouth going 90 mph on the CB. Because that is what YOU sound like.

Just because you have a big truck with lots of speed does NOT make you a professional. These "drivers" (and I use the term very loosely) put other lives at risk because they are stupid, self-centered children. No better than the mental midgets on motorcycles who pop wheelies and run between 2 lanes of cars.

    Grow up, it's long overdue.

I dont know about where you drive but the speed limit now in most places is 65mph or more thats why your getting past 10 to 15mph faster than your driving.

Atlanta Loop is 55. The entire state of California is 55. Most cities drop the speed limit to 55 or 60 when congestion increases. I drive the speed limit when conditions allow. It is supposed to be a limit after all. Too many drivers treat it as a minimum. Slow down relax and enjoy the ride.

I didn't read anything he wrote about weaving in and out of traffic. He wrote that he goes with the flow of traffic in the second lane from the right.
Feeling a little lonely, being the one truck driver that hogs the middle lane and wont move because you're doing the speed limit, no matter how many trucks you hold up? I see with 3 years of truck driving, you still have that 4 wheeler attitude.

Going with the flow 10 MPH over the truck speed limit. My experience limited as it is tells me to slow down on congested roads.

Actually I stay to the right 95% of the time and will move from the middle lane if i am holding anyone up even 4 wheelers.

30 years huh. If thats true and you think its OK to run 10 MPH over the speed limit through LA traffic then you are one of those "experienced" drivers whose actions has caused the decline in public opinion of the American trucker from what it was in the 60's. All those 4 wheelers know what the truck speed limit is and he just reinforces the stereotypes.

By the way the poll is roughly 4-1. You are in the minority. Middle lane or right lane do what is the safest for the situation.

I've touch this subject before and let me tell you from the get go, "wsyrob" is a steering wheel holder PERIOD !!! He is stuck in riding the middle lane and does not have the mentality of been courtious to other driver's. In his world, it's all about him and how his TRAINER taught him. And like you said in your post, His been only out here for 3 years and he has seen it all.

You don't know me, or how I drive. For the record I am here to learn and have been from day 1. I learn something every day. No way I know it all. I think for myself though and just because someone put 35 years experience on an internet forum doesn't mean I will take what they type as gospel. You have made some statements about me that are false.
