What kind of driving jobs (or which companies) offer drivers the least amount of hometime? I have no use for it. I'm a new CDL holder with nothing & nobody to hold me back, & I'd be happy to stay out for months at a time.

FullMetalJacket, Chinatown and Lepton1 Thank this.

I'm sure most companies will let you stay out as long as you want. If you plan on staying out months at a time I would find a place that has apus, fridges, and other nice things.

Where is your location; your home city/state?
Many companies will let you stay out as long as you want. If you're going to do that, I'd go with a company that has amenities for driver comfort such as APU so you have power for computer, electronic games, refrigerator, television, etc.
Also stay away from a truck lease program so you're not under that stress all the time.

    t_v and Lepton1 Thank this.

I'm in Michigan, just outside Detroit. I definitely plan to be a company driver. No plans to lease. My main priorities are 1) getting into a company that offers a good hands-on training period that pays decent, and 2) not wasting money on rent.

Try CFI ( Conway Truckload ) In Joplin, Missouri. When I worked for them a few years back they certainly didn't mind any driver wanting to live out on the road. I don't think that's a problem with to many companies. They also had a training program but it was different than the standard run of the mill mega style training. They had a terminal in Taylor, Michigan. Its been a few years so things could have changed. They have a thread on here you could get more info.

    Good luck to you.

Green Transportation in Holland,MI runs teams to the west coast and back to east coast.
Freymiller is a good refrigerated outfit with Tripac APU.
    Britton Transport has APU
Navajo Express runs coast to coast and has some type of APU & really nice trucks.
    Schuster has APU
Magnum Ltd. - I think has APU

You say that now, but living in such a small space is bs.
They give the cargo 70 feet..and the driver gets 5.
