I agree and ran one of the first year Series 60's. Best engine design at that time. And still one of the best.
Would not give my 1995 Series 60 Detroit for anything else made.
Now old 2 strokes a different story. And people even today. Think its a Detroit, its the same as in the 60's and 70's.

I had a old IH with a NHC250 Cummins I ran local for years. It was slow but it got there.
I guess the worst was a single axle IH with a 3208 Cat. I don't know what the HP is of the 3208, but it ain't much. I think it is around 200 hp.Brettj3876 and stillwurkin Thank this. -
We are still running old school. 400 hp Cummins and 425 hp Cats. Both of those would be considered low hp by today's standards, but they work.
