I was watching the classic trucking movie Duel and thought the part where he stops at that little diner out in the middle of nowhere was cool. Cool except the creepy people but i like those old time slower paced middle of nowhere places. Gas stations with just 2 pumps and dust and tumbleweeds blowing around. Still have those old rubber hoses you drive over that ring the bell. Do you find places like this do they still exist?

You'll end up running a lot of highways as well, you'll get to see a lot of different places. Just go with a true 48 carrier, instead of companies that always stay east of the Mississippi.
Jonkie Thanks this. -

Look at the road atlas and look for those small towns, then go to www.city-data.com and get more info on each one.
Also can just type the name of town into Google and it usually puts you in Wikepedia and more info on that town.
Example : Telegraph, TX
No personal income taxes in Texas.
This is what I did when looking for a new place to live. I ended up in Las Vegas, 10 minutes from the strip; hardly a sleepy little one-horse town.1278PA Thanks this. -
How about that abandoned mining down North of Vegas. Cant remember the name. Lots of cool places out there.
