Not yet. That's first on the list.
I think if USX resists re-seating me, I'm going to empty my truck and let the guys clean the daylights out of the interior. Problem is the culprit could be anywhere. Even the overhead console where the CB mounts, I know for a fact, is loaded with dust.
I spoke with the terminal manager in Shippenburg Monday and he told me my truck is in the next group to be rotated out, but not just yet. they're taking the 2009s off line. When they're gone then mine will be retired.

Hello Everyone,
I'm new here....can anyone tell me about USX physical wellness test I will be there Wednsday......I'm kinda nervous about it.
Thank Rollo -
This is via jeremyc a few weeks ago:
I just did this last week so let's see what I can remember.
Orientation:
All I can say is have all your poop in a group. The are going to call every job that you have worked in recent years and ask you questions about stuff that you have forgotten because you didn't think it was important. If you have any gaps in employment they are going to want you to prove what you were doing during that time. Work history seems to be the biggest thing right now. Don't try to hide anything with your work history or driving record, they will find out. This is why orientation is 3 days, they could cover everything you learn and show you all the videos in a day and a half, but they are using the rest of that time checking out everything about you.
Work with your recruiter to get as much information to them as possible before you go to orientation!!
I wouldn't wait to start school to start this process, you may find that with the school schedule and gathering all the information USX wants from you, there may not be enough hours in the day.
We had 2 guys in our group that had to call the IRS to fax over old W-2's that they should have been able to provide before they even got there. This kind of stuff will just frustrate you and be time consuming. Everyone will be getting called out of the class a dozen times to answer questions and sign things. There was even a guy there from the week before still hanging around without a truck yet because something was messed up. They paid him orientation pay, put him up in the motel and fed him for that extra week, but he had to haul all of his stuff back and forth from the motel every day just in case they got it straightened out.
Physical and strength test:
First they strapped a heart monitor around our chests and had us lift a box that weighs 70 lbs from the ground to a shelf about 2.5 feet high, then lift it from that shelf to one about 5 feet high and then return it to the middle shelf again. This simulates lifting something from the ground to the bumper on the trailer and then up to the inside of the trailer.
Next week took a walk about 25 feet and back while carrying that 70 lb box. We did this 3 times only resting long enough in between for them to check our heart rate. This simulates carrying freight the length of a 53' trailer.
Next they had some contraption that measures the force of pushing and pulling. You have to pull it towards you at about 4 feet high and then push on it at about 6 feet high.
After that, they had us step up onto the second rung of a ladder with both feet and then back down. There was a file cabinet on one side and a post on the other that we were allowed to use for support. This simulates stepping up onto the bumper of a trailer to get in or out.
Then on to the "duck walk". The rope is about 4 feet high, you have to crouch down underneath it and "duck walk" for about 4-5 feet. This simulates going underneath a trailer to check that your fifth wheel jaws are locked, check your breaks, etc.
After the physical strength/endurance tests there was just a standard drug screen and doctor exam:
Pee in a cup. Eye test. Hearing test. Blood pressure. Range of motion/balance. Listen to heart and lungs. Hernia check for the dudes.
I think that's about it.Pirate Trucker XOXX and rollo721 Thank this. -
