I live off I-40 in N. Little Rock, AR... abundance of deer in that area. They have considered doing a city hunt but it has yet to happen and the deer population is getting worse each year.

    Hey Wedge!!!

SO GREAT to see you yesterday and so glad to give you a few hours outta your truck!
As always, your stories are MUCH better in the live vs written version!! Hopefully you made it out of Rochester before the storm hit and didn't have to drive through it ( around 0530 today) and you made it to Lancaster okay.

FYI for those reading: Truckerdave1970 and I got to meet Wedge a few months back as he was about 45 minutes outside of Rochster at a T/S down the NYS Thruway. Yesterday he was able to stop at a (SMALL UGH!) T/S in Rochester so we invited him over for a home grilled meal and some good convo!!!!:yes2557:

Yeah, I understand that. Problem is this is a case of "DUH" in all capital letters. For some reason, I just didn't pack them when I was loading up my car. Of course now the wife insists on supervising my packing.

I purchase my meds through mail order. The script was just re-freshed, 90 day supply at a blow, and the insurance won't pick up the tab. So my choices are, sit in one spot long enough for the wife to over-night them to me, or do a drive by of my home terminal and pick the beasties up.

USX is on board and is trying to route me home, but I'm not in the best part of the country to get routed to Atlanta. At this point, I may just take an early home-time, get a few things attended to on the truck, and stay out a little longer for my next session.

It's not every day one gets invited to a home cooked meal while on the road. I would have thought that was fairly obvious...LOL

Now curiousity is killing me. What did you think I meant?

Well, look at it this way. You have to start somewhere, and IMO, USX is one of the better starter companies. But remember they're a big company, so you'll have to adjust to that.

You can check their website to be sure you live in one of their hiring areas, and you can contact a recruiter directly using the "live chat" feature they offer on their web site. The recruiter will answer all your questions, and get you pointed in the right direction.

I don't think you'll have a problem getting on board.

Keep me posted on your progress.

Good luck with your training, Mr A. :biggrin_25525:

The FMs are spread out, dispatches emulate from offices in different regions of the country. I was originally dispatched from Tunnel Hill, and after the "Pod Experience" this past winter, I found myself being dispatched out of Shippenburg. Why I was re-assigned to a different office.........not a clue.

The dispatches out of PA seem to be focused in the NE region including Ohio and Michigan, while the dispatches for the Falcons region (Tunnel Hill & Chattanooga) seem to run in the mid-west and south-east.

It is my preference to be re-assigned back with my original FM out of Tunnel Hill.

I'm still working on that part.
