No, it it based on mileage. They do not keep any trucks past the warranty

    Wedge Thanks this.

I asked about this at orientation and took my road test
in an automatic. They are not buying any new Autos. Autos are
available for lease drivers if you want to go that route. I am in a
'12 Cascadia 10 speed it shifts and rides like a dream.

    Hey There Buck-a-Roos! :biggrin_25511:

    Greetings from San Antonio, TX!

I finally got my truck back on Thursday, repaired, fixed,..............exorcised...........the works. I logged in and my FM sends me a message asking me if I'd go to Laredo for her?

:biggrin_25519: Laredo? You bet. Let me make coffee first.

It was a 3 part run that had me haul a loaded trailer from our Ellenwood terminal to Atlanta (never turn down 50 bucks). Then, I did an about face and headed back to Conley, GA to pick up a preloaded trailer at a Walmart CP center that was headed for Hattiesburg, MS, a drop & hook at a Sams DC.

And then, I headed to Delisle, MS to pick up a Dupont load headed for Laredo. I was running ahead of schedule and the Dupont load was supposed to be a live load for noon today, but I guess I charmed the lady at the shipping office enough to get me loaded last night. :biggrin_25525: Once I was loaded, I headed east (instead of west) to the Flying J in Gulfport to shut down for the night. Now that I was loaded early, it would much easy to plan my trip having almost 7 additional hours of margin to make the delivery.

So I decided.....pizza, a movie, and then sack time.

I contacted dispatch to request either an early delivery appointment or a drop at our Laredo terminal. My arrival in Laredo would be almost a day early and I didn't want to sit on this load if I didn't have to. Customer service got back to me and told me I could deliver early......................Oh yeah.

So out of the blocks, once the truck was fixed, I racked up over 1000 miles in 2 days. So far, so good. Hope the miles keep coming my way.

Vinsanity likes the name Christine, so......................I hearby dub thee.........Christine.

Now I gotta sleep with one eye open. :biggrin_2556:

    Thanks for reading.

Wedge; You lucky dog. Laredo with an early delivery is great. Check to see if you need to stop at the terminal to get a trailer inspection prior to delivery. Some loads this is required. We are in Colton. Made fifty on a Pep boys to the rail yard. Waiting on a real team load.

    Wedge Thanks this.

Well I have a Pre Hire with Werner but I hear a lot of bad things with them, Then I have apps in with us xpress, usa truck, stevens transport...May trucking is willing to hire me if I am willing to move to the pheonix area or well 50 miles with in there hiring range...I just keep hearing bad things about Werner, Stevens, KLLM, and a few about May....I have not heard or read anything bad about Us Xpress or USA Truck yet...But I am sure if I dig deep enough there is always some one bad mouthing any and every single company out there. I am just doing my research, I tired to get a hold of a recruiter for us express and usa truck yesterday morning but I guess they do not work on week ends so I have to wait until tomorrow. How does us xpress pay there miles, is it HGH, Practical Short, Practical, or Hub o Meter?
