Driving OTR with US Xpress

Well y'all my 34 is almost up and I will be headed out to MI to the ford plant. First long haul in a while. Pretty excited praying it goes off without a hitch!!!

Yes, rhe $'s aren't too bad, but there's always bills to pay back home. I just have a certain amount put on my fuel card and the rest goes home.

I had to buy a trucker's Garmin because I got tired of always being past the turn before the D-tech said turn! My D-tech was so unreliable on close-in directions I named it "Blondie." I had my share of low underpasses, dead ends, and residential areas that I now use Garmin (named her "Gypsy") from about two or three miles away from delivery point. Blondie also would constantly bad-mouth us, saying "}3s]"\" and stuff like that. We just would laugh when she went off like that.

 

My DT has gotten way behind on me as well I just use him for highway directions and if I am unsure of he is too behind I follow my garmin!!!! Well worth the 300 bucks I spent on it!

 

As soon as I can, I'm getting one too.

 

The new Rand McNally TND720 is amazing. Way above any GPS I have ever seen. It costs $400 but worth every penny.

 

I have the 710 right now and have had no problems,,thanks HD,,and plan on buying that 720 because it looks better and comes with a lifetime free map upgrade...

BTW Craig,,, I have seen no white USXpress Cascadia's in the 3 yards I have been too since you mentioned we would be getting those... Have a great day...

yes, Blondie would say thatoften, and then she'd do her potty-mouth routine. We'd laugh.
