Hello There.
Speaking of runs going sideways, I'm sitting at a rest area in Davis, OK with a flat tire on one of my tandems. Breakdown has road service on the way. Their ETA should be anytime.
Now this is where it can come apart.
My delivery window is from 1500 today until 1700 tomorrow. I ran hard yesterday so that I could make the delivery appointment at the earliest part of the window (1500 today). My off duty time is now gone, and I have only a 3 hour cushion to work with. My FM was intent on dispatching me tomorrow morning.
So, unless road service gets here PDQ, all that planning could go out the window.
And the weekend is coming.
By the way. The tire was fine when I did my PTI this morning. I picked up on the flat during my mid-trip inspection when I stopped here for lunch.
Not all of them go "BOOM!".
Word of wisdom: Check those tires every time you stop.
I feel like a bad trailer magnet.
Thanks for reading.

Hey Wedge, don't know how that turned out............But couldn't you do a split sleeper birth and made some time while the road ser. guys were coming and doing the repairs? or are you just working with 2 hr. window to deliver?
Thanks, Pirate Trucker XOXX -
Hi all! Hope you all are getting it done!!! Congrats to those of you just getting started! I wish you all the best! This is a good company to get started with, even though I've had my issues, I would still recommend this as a good starter company. I'm still out with my shoulder issue. Scheduled for a MRI on Wednesday. Hopefully I will know something good after the follow-up appt. with the Dr. on Friday. At least I did this at work and am covered under Workman's Comp.! Whew! 2/3 of my pay is a lot better than no pay at all. I hope I don't have to have surgery, just some physical therapy, because I can do that at a terminal and make some money.
Anyhow, just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing. Catch y'all later!Wedge Thanks this. -
2/3rds of what pay? Your current average
since you have been with the company? -

Best of luck to you when you start with USX. Once you're acclimated to the system you should do fine. Learning how to work the system to your advantage is the key.
Be sure to fill us in on your progress.driver31 Thanks this. -
Thanks, never used it before.
