Hey Wedge,
How's the book comming along? I ended up going with Arnold. Been with them for a little over 2 months and so far so good. been really busy so this is the first chance I've had to get on in a while.Wedge Thanks this. -
Glad to hear it's working out for you.
It's the silly season, as I like to call it. Lots of goodies need to be delivered. Keep working on making yourself more efficient. That will yield more bucks in your pocket.
The book's rolling along slow but sure. Writing requires a fair amount of free time which I don't have a lot of lately, but I'm getting there.
One of these days I'll be done. -
Scarlett Yancy is the recruiter to speak with, if you decide to give USX another look.
Good luck with Heyl. -
Maybe Stephen will buy me coffee......sammycat Thanks this. -
I very much enjoy your posts and will definitely keep reading. I will start a thread about my Heyl experience to keep everyone up to date. I will also keep Scarlett's name should I ever decide to look at USX again. Thanks for all of your valuable insight and your (and Snowball's) service to the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Hats off to you, sir.

Wedge Thanks this. -
Are you going to be able to get home for any of the holidays Wedge?
I know that you have gotten home time pretty much when/what you ask for in the past and just wondering since Thankgiving is less than a week away.
No doing anything special here. My family did our Thanksgiving last weekend (a lot of nurses and this way no one misses, you can go to the other sides with out conflict and no one is left out! We do the same for Christmas weekend before)
I have off a 4 day weekend
and will hopefully get some cleaning and decorating started for Christmas (inside outside permitting! but I still have the base lights up from last year...just easier to leave up)
Dave is hoping to get some home work done and spend some time in his workshop playing with wood! He has to write a paper (last one for English) and he is thinking of writing about the effect of NAFTA on drivers and regulation.Wedge Thanks this. -
I'm working my way home right now for the Thanksgiving week. No 12 week run for me this year. I'm in NC on a flip to nights. I deliver at 2100 in Charlotte, and then pick up a load in Eden, NC destined for Pompano Beach, FL that I'll drop in either Tunnel Hill or Ellenwood on Tuesday morning. To make that happen, I could only drive 2 hours this morning and had to shut down so I can have a fresh clock by 2000.
I hate doing this. Hard to go back to sleep after just waking up.
I never got to run into Chris, so no spiked coffee worries.......lol. We did have a healthy message barrage on our cell phones, though. Would have been nice to see him again.
Have a great Thanksgiving, and make sure you stuff Dave full of turkey.
Trips and Stats.
Because I did the FEMA work last week, my official USX miles were only 761. I didn't track my miles while running FEMA loads. -
I sent Chris a PM on here. He said he is probably getting rid of his cell soon.....his post was nice. He really should put what he said about W/S somewhere so others (not just on his thead) can read it. The company really did do right by him.
Nothing special here Thursday. No turkey. Dave is gonna play with wood all dayHe got a bandsaw (93 inch blade if that tells you how big) so he is happy he can cut bigger wood now. My family did Thanksgiving already. I will make a ham or something and if the weather holds (high 50s) I am going to try to get lights up!
Stay safe on your drive home Wedge!!!Wedge Thanks this. -
