They try to go with ham at my house for Christmas, but I'm usually successful talking them out of it....lol.

Being the Patriarch I get to have the last word. :biggrin_25525:

We do a mixed bag of entrées for Xmas and save the ham for Easter.

Wedge, how do you like US Express?
I have been in the oilfield since I received my cdl in march, but have only been driving class b fuel trucks.
I have been applying to several companies but none will touch me since I haven't been driving combinations.
Most say call us when you have experience, or take a refresher course.

Do you know if USX would do the same?

    Thanks.

Hey Wedge and everyone else! Just wanted to drop in and say hi and thank you all for your posts about what life is like driving for USX. This entire thread has been a good read.

Right now I'm just a four-wheeler looking at making the switch and am trying to gather as much information as I can about what life on the road is like. I'm 34 years old and have worked as a professional pilot my entire adult life. With yet another furlough on the horizon, I am quickly reaching a point of critical mass/burnout and have been considering making the jump over to driving for quite some time.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and say thanks for the entertaining and informative thread! Stay safe and happy holidays to everyone!

    Wedge Thanks this.

Less than nine months (barely) I would call a recruiter. You may have a chance if you hurry

You will likely have to go out with a trainer but no refresher course I think.

    Wedge and BigGreenAlien Thank this.

I like USX just fine, Everyone here has treated me nice from the start.

Call Scarlett (Recruiting) in Chattanooga, TN. She'll give you the straight scoop. I started with them after being out of training for 7 months.

    BigGreenAlien Thanks this.
