You cant get a air brake endorsement on class c, has to be graded to a class b minimum.

I'm from Cali so don't let these fools tell you other wise. You need air brake endorsement to operate equipment with airbrakes. Get the endorsement added. Its on the written test. Cup catch you driving one bugga with airbrakes and you have no endorsement, eh, you one big mess up for DA company brah

If your transporting a placardable amount of HAZMAT (which I'd assume you do since you have the endorcement) then that truck is a CMV regardless of GVW so you'd be in violation. Also, not to insult your inteligence, but are you SURE it has air brakes? I've seen a few under 26k trucks with air parking brakes, but still hydraulic service brakes. If you floor the brake pedal and let off you hear air? If you do then you need to outright refuse to drive it! I know CA makes up stuff when it comes to CDL's like the whole "Non-Commericial" COMMERICIAL Drivers Lic LOL, but you usually need to re-roadtest to get an airbrakes restriction removed.
