Its a crutch for the elogs. On paper use Off Duty and optionally flag your travel time as "Personal Conveyance".

Love how those that have no experience with Elogs like to criticize the line 5 thing. It is the 5th option button for logging. It is the OFF DUTY DRIVING option. Same as just line 4 in a paper log with a note saying OFF DUTY DRIVING. Some folks just need to take a sedative and relax.

I think you must mean Line 1.

Line 4 is Off Duty Not Driving.

Your vehicle is NOT being used in commerce.

    No logbook,

    EOBR ,

    needed.

You're right, I meant line 1. My bad. But that is used for off duty driving with a notation, not line 4 On Duty.

They do on mine I guess, since the carrier files all the IFTA, and to my advantage, also pays all the IFTA. I really have no clue and could care less, since I do not have to report, file, or pay IFTA. One of the perks I have even though this is my ride. All I have to concern myself is getting the cheapest cost on fuel, and the carrier also has on their website, every fuel location (not just their network), the pump price, and the discounts off of pump price available that day.
