I had a suspended licence from NJ about 24 years ago due to unpaid 'insurance surcharges" I got a driving while suspended in NJ. I moved away and never straightened it out. I moved to NC and got caught a few times driving while suspended. I cleared it all up finally about 5 1/2 years ago. Paid all fines in NJ and NC. Went to all court dates.... I know, stupid. I was dumb. I have had NO tickets in that 5 1/2 years. I have no criminal record, No DWI's ever. No accidents in 25 years... Just a few driving while suspended all before 2008.
Not making any excuses or rationalizing my behavior. I was young and dumb...then older and dumb and scared.
Do I have any chance of getting a job? I know I can get into school... but what about my chances of landing a job??

Yup.. the time that has passed with no recent tickets shows you have either kept your nose clean or at least not gotten caught.. also, moves you up the ranks of many entering the industry..

Unless it's a drug or DUI problem, you should be o.k. Most companies don't go back more than 36 months on your driving violations, and some go back 5 years. Even with drug and DUI charges, most companies don't go back that far, although a lot of companies will ban you for life for a failed drug test, and some for DUI.

My company looked back 7 years, not the norm I know. Alot of companies looking for drivers, welcome and good luck.
