Thank you for all the information guys, its not a serious violation. Since the trooper saw it happen, I wasn't being reckless, just not my morning I guess. Gonna be hopping back in a truck here soon, see you guys on the road maybe, shiny side up of course.
"Driving too fast for conditions " How bad is it?

Don’t ASSUME it wasn’t serious. Find out first before you pay the fine.
Trust me.MadScientist, Mototom, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
Exactly... These things always come back to bite you later. Lawyer up, pay up. Luck of the draw. It is "more expensive" later...Rideandrepair Thanks this.

In PA it may be no points, but his home state may apply points. I got a "failure to observe highway sign" ticket in PA, trooper said it was no points, I checked the citation number online and the PA state website said it was no points so I figured, pay it (I was in the wrong anyway) and be done with it. Next time I went to renew my personal car insurance it showed up as a 3 point violation on my Florida drivers license.MadScientist, ProfessionalNoticer and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I received a "speeding ticket" in NC rolling 53 in a 45 in 2008 in My 4 wheeler.
I wasn't speeding, the vehicle in front was, but the goofball cop wrote me up.
I acquired a Traffic Attorney who got it REDUCED to "Improper Equipment".
Lawyer FEE was worth it for a CLEAN CLASS A.
MadScientist, CorsairFanboy, baha and 1 other person Thank this. -
Cheaper to pay for atty upfront and protect your livelihood then find out later they bs’d you on ramifications.
CorsairFanboy and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
what part of washington was this in?Oxbow and Rideandrepair Thank this.

My driver friend's first lawyer told him his "following too close" ticket wasn't a huge deal, and to just pay it. Wasn't even worth fighting.
When he called a CDL lawyer, that lawyer laughed and said absolutely not. Got the ticket completely removed, and saved him a serious ticket.
Get multiple opinions, but err on the side of fighting it.CorsairFanboy, Cat sdp, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
That’s one of the serious violations listed for CDL holders. I’m surprised more Truckdrivers don’t get ticketed for it. See it everyday. I got warned once, in Ohio, when I first started Driving.D.Tibbitt and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

It was bs from the start. A car swerved into his lane, he swerved to avoid it, checked his mirrors, and the car in front of him had stood on its brakes.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it was a classic insurance scam technique.LoneRanger, D.Tibbitt and Rideandrepair Thank this.
