I had the same thing happen at the same scale, I couldn't figure out where to get off. When I came out from under the overpass I did see the scale, but no driveway. I did see a bunch of those concrete barricades up by the building, and like an idiot thought it was under construction. After they brought me back I was looking at the bulletin board in the coop while they wrote me up. It was plastered with photos of the signs and exit from every conceivable angle, some of them quite old, so evidently I'm not the first. Now I'm not trying to get out from under this, I did wrong, I missed the scale and that's on me. But it seems to me if you have to post a wall full of pictures to "prove" how easy you are to find...maybe you're not.

ive pulled into that one in RI quite a few times and its always been closed. The sign makes it look like its always open. The one time I dont stop will be the time its open.

I like the ones in NY and PA. If the lights are flashing pull in, half the time there isn't anyone in there, when there is, it looks like they are doing eeny meeny miny mo to see who they want to check.

Next time, pull over right away and tell your trainer he needs to drive, you're not feeling good! ;-)

Permanent scales on 17 south in Jersey
    Summer of 1978
21 year old me southbound with an empty flatbed
Beeped horn and waved as I bypassed open scales
Police looked my way and then back at what they were doing
I think one of them may have yawned, but my glasses were dirty...

Wouldn't dream of doing so now

When the lights are flashing in PA. ya know it might be a long day. It's like every rest area is a bear convention, they be crawling all over the place. Thankfully it don't happen to often.
