Do I need to disclose Benadryl use on drug test screen?
I read that Benadryl can make you false positive for other drugs but I'm not sure if I need to disclose it as it's OTC?
Just making sure I'm not screwing up here....
Thx.

Better cover yourself and list it.
Otherwise, you may test positive and then you'll be required to go thru a SAP program before driving, which could take months.OldeSkool and ThatGasDude Thank this. -
If you are just going in for a drug screen, not a DOT physical, they don't ask you to list drug usage. If you test positive then the MRO is to contact you and it is at that time you would mention Benadryl, etc.tscottme, Speedy356, ThatGasDude and 1 other person Thank this.

Just want to add to what @Pickleball said..
If you were to test positive you’ll have to get the split specimen test which technically is charged to you. While the carrier may offer to pay the second test they aren’t obligated to do so. Just telling them that you took Benadryl won’t make the positive test go away.tscottme, ThatGasDude and Pickleball Thank this. -

Always be up front with everything even declare vitamins so if something comes up they'll know just mention what you've taken recently, any tablets for headaches, flu, any other prescribed medications all should be declared.ThatGasDude, OldeSkool and Chinatown Thank this.
