True, but it should be tested for when it comes to operating a cmv. And as these types of testing start happening, we need a way to separate a medical user from a rec user. Time will tell I suppose.

As long as there are lawyers, trucking companies will drug test drivers , even us old drivers .
You want to defend yourself in court, by saying but I smoked a joint a few hours ago , I don't care who's fault the accident is you will be charged and that goes for any level of blood alcohol too, good luck with thatmisterG Thanks this. -
They need to test if you are high while working. Not if you smoked a bowl last Saturday.
I agree you are an idiot if you are high driving. But what you do off the clock is no ones business.Gearjammin' Penguin and ad356 Thank this. -

If things are to stay the way they are, I want to see them come up with a method of testing to see if alcohol was consumed in the last 30 days. I then want to see every driver tested to see if they had a drink in the last 30 days. Any amount of booze your out.
How many empty seats would we have. Tons of trucks suddenly sitting.
I don't drink and wouldn't take issue with such a policy change. Suddenly my pay would go up significantly.
See how absurd this is?Ruthless, Mikesee and randomname Thank this. -
