We used to do them at Matlack, more often reefers but dry vans too, parked on the slope so everything ran out and walked in to the front and hit it with a low pressure hose instead of the 1' one off of the 50 hp pump

All right. I decided to go with that. I could not stand the look and smell. Never again will I pick up mulch.
I spent another hour to brush the water out and dragged some towels over the boards.
I stopped when it became too slick. Lol.
I hope I won't regret any of that. If I will, I'll post here as a not to do thing. Temps will raise over the weekend too.

I hauled "bales of cardboard" out of ny or oh a year ago. In winter below freezing temps. Had liners put down on the floor and drove it straight through. I drove up a garbage mountain to the tipper had the load dumped out and wanted to puke from the smell inside. My trailer is a 2019 food grade dry van went to blue bacon and had a wash out with deodorizer added. Parked with the sun aiming into the trailer and swept the water out for the next hour. Was clean enough and dry enough to pick up a load that early afternoon.. Never again

Leave the doors open if you can - it does help dry things out even when sub freezing.

Even better toss a cheap space heater in there.

What if you get yourself a propane heater to heat the inside. Close the doors and throw in a thermometer and obviously check to make sure it doesn’t burn down! Once it’s warm enough, sweep it out or use a leaf blower.

It is a done deal now. I tried to remove as much water as I could but of course the floor remained wet. I hope for the best but somehow I am not too worried. This floor is only 3 years old and still solid. It should withstand this assault. Absolutely, this should be avoided and before even loading up mulch, I should have known better.
I did cancel my prime load, which is the biggest punishment. I did not want to go to shipper with either this dirty or wet/icy trailer in the morning.
