It's simple to do once you learn it. It's done with a pneumatic trailer and a pto driven blower. Once you get it going all you do is sit back and watch gauges so you can switch pods without losing a bunch of air. I've never had a 3 hour blowtime with cement but I haul to drilling rigs big to plants and it can happen in plants depending on how far your blowing.

I liked it. Dry bulk pneumatic tanks w/ exhaust to pressurize the tanks. Took about 45 mins to unload 900 bags/80,000 lbs.

Takes about 45 minutes start with the middle then the front then the back easy work but don't pay much.

Very noisy, get some good hearing protection at a gun store. Home every day though unless you get a backhaul of flyash. Even then, probably make it home the same day.

Stay away from companies that use what is called a "Stack Blower". That is when the blower that unloads the truck, is powered by the exhaust system of the truck's engine. They are cheap, but do not perform well with heavy material. PTO blowers are a big box under the frame of the truck, with a metal rod connecting it to the transmission. The small box that connects that shaft to the transmission, is called a PTO (Power-Take-Off). This is a far superior system, that a stack blower. Since you are the one doing the unloading, the quality of the blower will effect your ability to get the job done quickly, and make more money.

I always unload the back compartment first that way if you happen to plug up it is easier to unplug. Plus some times the load will not all fit and have to bring back some to get credited back and its no fun hauling a tanker if the weight is all on the back end of the trailer.

With a Raglan quad axle trailer loaded to 39 tonnes (metric - Canada) I am 45-50 mins unloading most places.
