Alright, I have been out of a truck for a few months, due to being pregnant. I am wanting to
get into flatbed with my husband (Hopefully). We live in Mesa, AZ.. We have ZERO Flatbed
EXP. I'm sure trying to find a company that will train us that is local will be difficult. I am
of no luck finding anything through google. I'm pretty sure that trying to get a dedicated
route from our hometown will be impossible, ESP with the no experience. What are the
general options??
Dry van for three years wanting to get into flatbed division soon!

You have the exp companies look for, you'll find a local flatbed outfit that'll train you.It can't take that long to learn how to tarp and secure loads can it?Try looking in your local news paper.

dedicated flatbed is pretty unusual at least compared to van freight, swift is right there and does training, that's where I started.

Why?
You're pregnant and soon you'll have a baby and you now want to learn how to flat deck?
Do you have any idea what is in store for you once baby shows up?
Sleep depravation unlike any long hauler has ever experienced.
Fussy, crying, restless, little human that needs constant care.
And you want to learn how to tarp.
Sheesh. -
well least she is willing to learn, unlke alot of flatbedders out there
TruckerGirl19 and 281ric Thank this. -
Try lonestar. ...or e.w wylie

Yea maybe they can train her to hold the baby with one arm and breast feed her while she throws straps with the other.
Cause when the baby needs to eat- IT NEEDS TO EAT
learning how to flat deck is cake compared to caring for a helpless human that needs every last thing done for them and for several years before they can start to learn for themselves.TruckerGirl19 Thanks this.
