Get experience on hazmat. Experienced hazmat drivers make six figures in Chicago unless they drink some REALLY strong koolaid. Like Schneider level strong. I heard a KAG recruiter quote my buddy 115k salary to be a flex driver in the Midwest. Ecolab (Nalco) is starting drivers at 35/hr with time and a half OT and are actively hiring. QC comes with a union and are also at 100k. I heard foodliner can hit six figures but idk if that one was real. Most are so desperate they only require driving experience, not tanker. Hell Ecolab hired me with only nine months driving experience because of the rest of my resume, even though they advertise three years experience. Get on the gravy train!
Dry van to tanker? Opinions?
