    Just to update this thread one more time. I got a new meritor dryer monday morning, put it on and all is well :) Looks like I got a defective unit the first time.

    this is what I think too. after fixing my hub fan leak mine stop purging. I HAD to build up air then leave key in on position soap hub area came back 10 min later looked like a bubble bath around hub.
