Our email exchange indicated that you were satisfied with the transaction, after I issued the partial refund when we established that there had been a misunderstanding as to the level of work desired. As you will remember, one of your emails said that you wanted me to (quoting) "do it with DTB Radio quality". This was after I had informed you of the potential cost of repairs and mods together. That same email also said "try to keep cost as low as possible (hopefully less, than $150 total)". I believe this is the area of misunderstanding. I took that to mean go ahead with the work (both repairs and mods) and do it as inexpensively as I could without compromising quality. This is exactly what I did. If you were still unhappy after receiving the refund, you should have said so and given me the chance to do something further to make you happy, rather than posting something like this online. It is highly unfair to indicate one thing to the vendor (namely that you were basically satisfied after receiving the refund), then say you are unsatisfied in public.
Here are two quotes from your emails to me, which I took to mean you were basically satisfied with the transaction:
Before refund: "As you did it, difference in price is not that huge, so no biggie."
After refund: "Thank you for the refund."

Once repairs are paid for, it is almost never possible to recoup your expenses. I always take a loss if I sell a radio.
-
Its the same with almost anything. I purchased a vintage snowmobile earlier this year, and ended up having to put another thousand in it to get it serviceable. The unit is worth considerably less to sell than what I have invested, so it will make sense to keep it and use it for as long as I can.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Yes, after job has been performed there is not too much can be done about it, it makes no sense to "undo" it. Difference in price is not that huge if it would have been done by another, may be less reputable shop, that's true, I just did not plan to see final bill like that. Again, probably miscommunication.
Yes, I indeed thankful for the refund, you gave it to me even after I said there is no need for it.
I have described my experience the same way other people describe theirs, it is not "behind your back".
Added. In regards to selling it, I put for a reason that I am willing to sell or trade it, may be someone have something, which I could use. I hope quality of job performed is indeed good and someone would be able to enjoy the radio. -
My only issue was with you having told me in private communication that you were satisfied (in essence, not word-for-word), then posting publicly that you were unsatisfied. If I interpreted your final emails incorrectly as meaning you were satisfied, I apologize.
rabbiporkchop and 12 ga Thank this. -
No problem, as you can see ESL for me, so I may be the one, who need to apologize.
-
I was not aware of that. For English being ESL, you're doing better than many Americans, lol!
-
I think you will be happy with the performance of those radios
12 ga Thanks this. -
Thank you.
I think considering the number(volume) of praises coming from people, who know a lot more about CB, I am pretty sure that that is the case and quality would be really good. -
Dave is in the top 95% of his field
darthanubis and 12 ga Thank this.
