Dudw Shot 60 Times (at least) For Driving Poorly

Starting with police. At the beginning of the interaction it should be "officer Bob, badge number 212, I pulled you over for x". No more fishing expeditions, no lying, no searches without articulating what the suspicion is. Traffic stops are traffic stops and fines can represent no miire than 10% of a cities budget.

 

No no....you ain't hearing me. Why were they taught to hate the police? If you take away historical treatment of people of color, we aren't even having this conversation. Those teachings are pointed directly to history. People are angered by how their ancestors were treated and what happens in history oftentimes dictates how things are today. Then there have been too many instances where those relations didn't get improved. Now it's on the police to try and right those wrongs and cha get perceptions, provided that's important to them.

 

How would they of apprehhended him? At the time it appeared he was trying to kill them. They already had tried non-lethal force. In this particular instance the police acted appropriately.
Not all cops are heroes but some are.

 

And what values are the police teaching? What message does it send when a police department very publicly promotes an officer who is under multiple use of force investigations?

 

Soon as @bryan21384 @ZVar and @gentleroger show up on these threads, they go sideways quickly. Everything must include race with these guys.

 

Irish were considered a lower race. Legally they weren't considered white.
Italians were considered mobsters.
Chinese weren't allowed citizenship.
Mexicans were considered lazy.
American Indian were thought to be thieving drunks.
And on and on it goes.
If your ancestors weren't somehow persecuted then you aren't American.
Most groups rise above the past and consider over coming it a strength.

I believe that the racism of lower expectations is the most vile of all types of racism there is.
I won't excuse criminal behavior because of ancestry like they are less capable of being decent people because of it.

 

Lol that's cute. I guess when I speak I'm supposed to sound you and a lion share of the members here? I got some homework for you. Go back and read everything that I'm talking about. Yes it does talk about race, but I never said that's why he got shot. I'm only offering a different perspective as to why I think he ran in the first place, then there's a perspective on how to improve that. I'll leave the bashing of the young man to you and the others.

@gentleroger hates white folks? Mmmm....I know you said it in jest but I don't get that vibe from him. I find him to be good contributor on here. I’ve learned from him, hell ive learned from all of you, even the ones that dislike me lol. His opinions and philosophies are just unpopular on here. I can relate lol. To even make that joke....that's a stretch.

 

He basically slants EVERYTHING to be the fault of the police or whites. Even if the situation is not really racially motivated.
