Dudw Shot 60 Times (at least) For Driving Poorly

I would add a review and feedback loop on recorded contacts with citizens, graded and part of officers record. Standards that must be met to continue on the force. X number of reviews per given period of time. Reviews performed by both agency staff and other citizens on a rotating basis after they have received and understand instructions.

 

I was just stating my general opinion on racism. I didn’t see the video, for all I know the 8 Cops were black. The Guy got killed because he did something stupid. It’s tragic. I don’t care if he was a choir boy, or a thug, black. white, or purple. it’s still Tragic. Imagine if everyone was judged by something stupid they did when young. The original question posed was whether or not it should take 60 bullets to kill him. Seems a bit excessive. A lot of the opinions have shifted towards Racism, and the Guys Character. I guess it’s easier to accept if he was a Thug. Much easier to put away into the little compartment and pretend all is well. The World I was taught about still exists. Everything’s fine. The Police over reacted period. A couple shots would have been plenty to accomplish the goal of killing him. 2 shots each x 8 = 16. I think the Cops lost their heads on this one. And you want me to trust the cops? Lol. Sorry I don’t. I don’t rely on them for my safety. By the time reinforcements show up, it’s usually too late. Lucky if they don’t show up and shoot the caller. Happens all the time. No I don’t have much faith in the Police. That’s true. Ive seen my share of bad cops. Theres plenty out there. I worry about my 2 nephews that became Officers. Hopefully it won’t ruin their Character. It happens. I’d much rather live in an idealistic world where everything is as it seems or should be. I’m not ready to pretend it is.

 

That’s completely your perception. I’ve never gotten that vibe from him at all. Might want to ask yourself why? Who’s the racist now, huh ??? Lol. Had to say it. Just had to. Going to cut my grass and water it now. It’s turning brown, I hate that.

 

Considering I have black AND native American in my make up. Not just white. Who am I racist against?

Okay. But percentage also show black on black killings are way higher than blue on black. Where is the outrage and protests over that?

 

Well he took off on foot unarmed. One shot wouldn't have wounded him? They couldn't have taken him? It wasn't like he was so far away from them. They could have wounded him as wiggled his way out the passenger side. It's just my interpretation of the video. Some may see it differently.

 

Where is the outrage on Chicago? I don’t hear a Peep at the folks regarding that… Yeah black on black crime there including kids being murdered for no apparent reason… Other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time just by simply playing in their front yard…

 

Once again, I was talking about human beings being killed by police not percentages of the population. And how biased news is. And how that news affects the general public and in this case race relations. Jesus people...

 

I think one thing most of us can agree on is that we should never solely rely on officers for our safety. Yes, sometimes by the time they can get there, it's already a scene unfortunately. I still trust cops and have faith in them, but no I do not trust or even like every cop. Yes, I can agree that many bullets seems excessive. The man still did not comply and his death is of no fault other than his own. I have no sympathy there, but also when people say someone was shot X amount of times, we need proof as well for any person. There could have been 100 shots fired and all 100 hit a person or maybe of that many shots only 3 hit them. Not saying this is or isn't the case, just a thought.
