Not 100%. Failure to comply does not justify murder. Alot of these shootings have been people that are not armed... Now i am not a cop and dont claim to understand what its like to be facing a criminal who is non compliant with directed orders and and you don't know what their threat level is or mental state. But just from my view of the fence there might be a better way to go about confrontations like this other than pumping 60 rounds of lead inside the guy. People deserve to have their day in court.

Thinking that Ben Crump will get the guy's family about $150,000.00 per bullet hole for about $9 Million less a third and fuel for his jet for expenses.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
the video is on the facebook page of the Akron PD
i have been viewing it over and over
one cop appears to be yelling, "drop the gun", but he's too far back to know for sure if the guy has a gun or not. at least, when i view the video, the audio and video appears to be from that one cop WAYYY in the back..
also too, it appears that the guy is shot while running, but falls to the ground, and the volley of shots just go on and on, to what might already be a dead guy.
and finally, it also "appears" to be that cop from WAYYY back, that is doing all the final shooting into the lifeless body..(probably "up to" a 30 round magazine in that gun)
clearly, more forensic work needs to be done to sift out each individual cops cameras, from all angles.
but for christ sakes, "man down" and continually shooting it, is (to me) beyond comprehensible...
and i DO support our police for the work they do, and put themselves on the line each and every shift they work.
but this right now to me, is just not called for. -
1 bullet or 90. Doesn't matter. Armed AND dangerous. Put the assailant down. As fast as possible. Period.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

The video i saw was also from too far back. I'm sure every one was wearing a cam, so lets see what caused the first cop to shoot.
Nothing gained by releasing a sh'it video. Maybe their not ready for it to be seen.Another Canadian driver, ProfessionalNoticer and bryan21384 Thank this. -
Shoot till the threat stops. Hard to tell anything from that video. Shooting half your mag after the threat has stopped is too much, but from that video you can't tell anythingAnother Canadian driver, ProfessionalNoticer, bryan21384 and 2 others Thank this.

We know this much. They believe he was armed. Hey failed to comply with instructions. Combined equal valid reasons to shoot. You can say excessive. But would you say that to the family of the officers. If one had been shot and/or killed. Nope.Another Canadian driver and Trucker61016 Thank this.

Why don't you actually read the article instead of inserting your opinion, they didn't shoot him for bad driving....he shot at them and was being dangerousAnother Canadian driver, BennysPennys and Wasted Thyme Thank this.

Because he left it in the car....do you people read ??Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
