Dudw Shot 60 Times (at least) For Driving Poorly

Well.based on the numerous cases of people being shot and still coming at the officer, perhaps they wanted to be sure he was down, you shoot to end the threat that's what cops are taught...you also shoot for the largest area not the arms or legs....

 

I'm not saying it's excessive because i can't tell much of anything from that video. But from that crap blurry video, it looks like he's down well before the shooting ends. That's all I'm saying.

I'm 100% for personal responsibility.

He didn't comply, he ran, he had a gun. His gun didn't go off while he was trying to pull the cartridges out to make it safe, for d'amn sure.

So yes, i think it's all on him.

If evidenced by good video though, i could call their force excessive depending on circumstances.

Kinda like lumping all truck drivers into one category, police work is no different.

not if you listen to many governors across the USA, as they are one state at a time, "giving" drivers permits to those that are illegals....

my state has already signed that Bill into law

and yet, he WAS shot several times in the legs.

 

LEO are NOT taught shoot to wound. It's shoot to kill. It's called deadly force for a reason.

So no. They don't run up and cuff. They make them deceased. Period.

If your family was there. Would you want the gunman to be able to harm your family. In the heat of the moment. Or make sure he can't hurt them?

We both know that you'd want the person dropped as fast as possible.

 

many times, many of us copy/paste the headlines...

it's not click bait, it's what was available to us at the time.

i do the same, copy/paste that is.

 

and in shooting class, presented by a lawyer, we are told to shoot to stop the threat, but to not continue to shoot, if the threat is over, or the thug is running or retreating, that's murder if we do. (and aim for body mass as well)

when the man went down, where was the continued threat..???

i didn't know dead people can suddenly wake up and continue, unless somehow, they become zombies....

 

when the threat ended, as when he went down, shooting should have stopped.

you cannot ever ask/say what would i do if my family was there, cuz they were not.

 

This happens in seconds not minutes. Ultimately the cops did the right thing. They dropped the gunman.
