D.u.i is a big one against you unfortunately. Like Chinatown said don't listen to the info on the sites, I don't even know why companies put it out there as they bend the rules all the time to get drivers. I can't point you in any one direction but having a CDL will help, you will get hired but it's going to take some looking.

Craigslist has lots of "no questions asked" 1099 companies. Use those as a last resort though, but it's better than nothing.

If he has cleaned up his act and doesn't drink any more, CR England might take him into one of their schools and training program... but they should be the absolute last resort IMO.

Working for a 1099 company does not allow you to skirt the system. It's still up to the insurance company. They require your driving record and other documents. If anyone is driving with a record of DUI's I guarantee the insurance company does not know. If an accident or audit happens that company is screwed major.

If you pay money to go to a private CDL school make sure you get some pre-hire letters.

If you have a job now, you might be better served to stay where you are for another year rather than working for some fly-by-night outfit that won't pay you decently anyway. DUI is a serious matter, don't treat it lightly. Good luck to you!

Have you checked out Apex? I don't know what their hiring requirements are but I saw an ad tht they were hiring I believe in either Victorville or Adelanto.
