Dumb question about truck warranty

They are like that buyers assurance one.

I think it's great if you shear off the main caps or something like that, but a lot of it is stuff that may fail that's not covered, that has a big cost. Example - head gasket.

Honestly unless it's the factory warranty, like bumper to bumper, I don't think they're worth it.

I mean if you start playing the warranty game for little items, just because you're entitled, you're losing money all in all.

 

But Dave, that $100 warranty repair was so worth it. I wanted to take three weeks off anyway....

 

Not 3 weeks, but even a day, two. You lost $800 or $1,000 to save a $100.

Same guys that drive around empty to teach those shippers a lesson in bad freight areas.

I mean if you can save little items like the $100 issue, and it's not a DOT issue until your at home, great.
