Is there a formula for converting amps into watts or to figure out how much "juice" a ref. is gonna use? I want to get hubby a frig for the truck, he has an 850 watt inverter, and runs a lap top, charges cell phone so do I need to up grade the inverter first????
PLEASE dont laugh, me and electric stuff just dont mesh![]()
DUMB question but I gotta ask it~

is going to use. It may not state how much your specific one will use
but you can take what is given and what you are all using on the inverter and should be able to figure it out.luvmyhubby Thanks this. -
This is one of those charts I was telling about and it does list refrigerators of different
sizes and how many watts they TYPICALLY use.

Super simple answer: Amps x Volts = Watts
You can move the different parts you know to find the ones you dont. -
Thank you for asking this. I don't understand it either and when I ask my husband or son in law; they're so smart they give me answers that hurt my brain. -
I cheated when figuring out which fridge to buy. Check this site out, it does the math for you.
