Sneaky jerks! I always do one final walk-around before getting in my truck, so they musta done it while I was at a red light.

Lately I've been on a roll with reconnecting the neck and forgetting to release the pin so it can actually bloody lock.

Back up drop suspension, see pin handle in mirror, bloody did it again.

I got fired for a simple mistake that cost the company I had my tractor leased to a bundle.
Dispatched to drop an hook to pick up a load of new car seats and interior trim that wasn’t ready, so I napped while they were completing the manufacture and loading.

they came out a couple hours later and knocked on the door and gave me the bills ,
I look at them and find the trailer and hook up to it , and head out , stop at the guard shack while they check the bills and the seal on the door.
And hammer it back to the train yard because it had to make the 10 pm cutoff to get on the train to Detroit.

I roll into the terminal and the guard at the gate check my bills, walks around and checks the trailer , and I go on in.

two days later when they make the just in time delivery to the auto assembly plant , and swing the doors open, they discover a trailer full of empty racks.

I had hooked up to the wrong trailer and didn’t notice I had the wrong trailer number than was on the bills.

neither did the guard at the seat factory.
The dispatcher/ guard at the terminal noticed, and changes it in their computer but never mentioned it to me .

Trucking company has to charter a cargo plane to get it there to keep the assembly plant from being shut down.

and I got to look for a new place to lease my tractor on.

Ive seen some of your numbers, You can afford 1000$, just get one even if it means youre leaner than you want for a week.

If you just want a better rack, pm me and i might consider letting you eat some drive off cost to get you down the road with a cheaper one till you get a better one. Ive been eyeballing a rack for the second truck and its going to happen sometime this year but hasnt been a pressing need.

I appreciate it, but I was mostly kidding around. I have a bulkhead right now. Next thing I'm doing is buying a Western Star. Then I'll be looking seriously for one, and I'm going to remove the bulkhead. I like it, but it sure is a PITA on some loads.

I hate a bulkhead with a passion, itd be 1st thing to be removed even if i didnt have a rack on my truck.

Do as you will but pulling bulkhead and putting on a rack even if you need to move it to a different truck is a peice of cake unless its one of those big 3 door deals, then it just takes a bobcat operater you trust and 20 more minutes :p
