I was too embarrassed to ask at the shop but where is the drain cord on a 2014 Freighliner Cascadia?

If its not by the fuel cap it may not have one. Just look along the frame on both sides and ask the shop if you can't find it. Just be honest and you won't look like a fool. Go in asking like this: "I've looked all over the place and cannot find the air tank drains. Am I blind or is there not a drain I can reach?" That way you come off as wanting to learn instead of comming off as an idiot.

There are usually two cable pulls near the battery box and two near the frame rail near the rear steps.

I did that recently, I asked a more experianced driver, and he wasn't sure either, asked another he should me where it was on his (these are all the same military tractors). I went to mine, and it didn't have the cord any more, wrote it up for the shop.

Roll around on the ground, get under neath, look at the bottom of the tanks, the pull cords will end there. Then follow them up to where the pull lanyards are located.

Not under the panel where the DEF goes. I did find one near the frame rail by the back steps though. I'll look under in the morning.

I'm new - only two weeks solo and boy am I getting a rude awakening. This is an amazing and challenging job.

Crawl under there, you'll see air tanks. I'm sure it's a real challenge running a semi truck without some.
    Nothing online? Freightliner help link?
