I bought my first dump when I was 24. 15 years later, I'm still here. Don't go in eyes wide shut but DON'T let any one talk you out of it. When you decide to pull the trigger you will be better off with out a family and a mortgage car payments etc. Thats why I would do it when opportunity knocks. That extra $500 a month ins. Isn't a good reason to talk yourself out of it you will find insurance premiums aren't going to make you or break you. If opportunity knocks, at your age witout a lot of personal debt, do it man!!! Ive had some horrible years like snowwy says its been bad recently but a few good months even with high ins premiums and even a truck payment can get you hitting the ground runnin. Don't wait till your 30 two kids mortgage car payments etc. To give it a go!
