Foxcover is up in SF/Bay area, he might be of some help.

Honestly outside of that, try to get on as a company driver with a small local fleet. Heavy equipment percipience is a plus, most will require a class A in my experience in NE Ohio- as a lot of companies are running more than just straight frame dumps, but are also running 32'-53' open dump trailers- so they want a guy who has flexibility when it comes to running equipment. Sounds like you have the appropriate license so you should be good.

Stay in a company dump for a good while before you think about buying your own. You'd think it's a simple job, but it's really not. Plus if you don't know what you're doing, you can really beat your equipment to hell very quickly. Better to beat up company equipment while you're still learning than your own, which is true of most driving jobs.
