This isn't some sort of tanker deal with air pressure to help unload is it?

If it is, pretrip, post trip takes place prior and after trips. As in actual driving. That tanker is NOT connected to the exhaust turbo pump or any tractor based supply of pressurized air.

The word hazardous is misleading. Should someone walk past a air dump tube of a bulk tanker, theoratically they could be cut in half should it become active. Or thrown hundreds of feet up in the sky to die on impact with the ground if they managed to over come the pressure at the top hatch.

I was thinking about glad hands. This is tanker stuff. For tanker endorsment probably.

On the Ohio CDL testing one question states there should be "ZERO" freeplay in the brake pedal and the answer is true. I have yet to drive a vehicle with "zero" freeplay in any pedal. Including the several hundred new trucks I delivered in the early 90's.

Morons who write tests rarely do more than drive a desk.

Maybe Binary Zero will qualify as a valid answer the way things are going.

The wording of the question, makes it an OSHA or off loading question.

You have to have the air lines & electrical umbilical connected to do your pre trip & pump down test.

How would one check for bad brake chambers and do a pressure test without the air lines connected? :?

I have seen a lot of "hazardous energy" lately in the truckin' biz. Usually wearing flip flops and baggy athletic shorts around the fuel island.
