The average salary for an Oil Rig Tool Pusher is $97,744 per year.
http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Oil_Rig_Tool_Pusher/Salary
and from rig hands,
Once an oil worker achieves the rank of toolpusher he can expect an annual wage in the range of $82,000 to $90,000 USD.

and here is what a simple 4 year degree gets you, as a directional driller
The job is comprised of the best of the best drillers, and is a high pressure position, making the job desired by any driller to step up the ladder of success.
In order to be qualified for such a job, one would require you to be proficient in math and solving complex problems. You have to be a natural born leader and usually you need to have spent some time in the oil industry and be very mechanically inclined. Otherwise, you must carry a college degree in technology or engineering.
With several years experience you can easily make well over $200,000 a year, and your salary can only grow with each successful drill. - See more at: http://www.righands.com/news/news-detail/become-a-directional-driller-360#sthash.BASuqKV9.dpufLast edited: Feb 2, 2015
Dryver Thanks this. -
Take your own advice and go to school and take a course in basic mathematics and you'll realize how easy averages can be skewed and don't explain the important breakdowns like median, mode, sigma, standard deviation, etc
Do a payscale search and you'll see tool pushers can make 170k+ a year
And if you want to throw out worthless statistics, how about the fact that Trucker Drivers score lower on the IQ scale than cashiers and waiters & bartenders LMAO!Last edited: Feb 2, 2015

Hey, TLeaHeart, stop feeding the wannabe troll. So Let me feed him real quick, before I take my own advice.
I drive because I like the job, for the most part, and not the money. I have owned several retail businesses over the last 20 years and spent the better part of my working career in retail. I get bored easily with what I do now, might be the stroke I had 5 years ago, might be age. What I do know is that people that whine and cry about getting there fair dues/share are usually those that want the easy way out. Done.
Oh and I have an I.Q. of 128 according to the last Wechsler test I took. -
Anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you
LOLTLeaHeart Thanks this. -
And I have never seen one that can keep their stories cohesive across threads they start or post in.
But I don't want to get slapped by the moderators for pointing out his inconsistencies across the different threads. -
