Giving an Honest answer , have you ever used Elogs before and will you give them a try , or will you really leave the industry if and when they become mandatory .
There is no right or wrong answer im just curious how many people are talking smack and how many will really go .

The last one should have zero, cause elogs are a comming, so if drivers want to stay on the road they have no choice but to try them.

Pilots must log their time truthfully and accurately, yet they can log on paper if they want or use electronic software (for personal convenience).

But regardless, they don't worry about being stopped and having it scrutinized. Strange given their pay and qualifications are typically centered around hours logged.

You can run exempt, either by running old equipment, or running with RODS not required.

    Just saying.

The many posts thruout the forum shows that.Of course some thinks its all about control and I do agree but it is what it is.You're going to have to either deal with it or find another line of work is what im basically saying because as it stands now mandatory elogs is going forward.

    Tb0n3 Thanks this.

I'll not deal with it directly unless they force it on exempt local drivers. Elogs are bad for the industry. Freedom and money are part of the issue but not all. I think safety, driver morale, and being forced to work are issues as well.
I drive in SW Pa, Wv, and Ohio if I don't stop and have dinner by 5:30 there are no parking spots left. Even the little hole in the wall stops are filling up. Rudeness abounds to some extent drivers are just that rude but some are desperate.
