Yes they do auto e-mail and or fax. There's tab you can go to and enter e-mail or fax number to be sent. Our system doesn't even need an office person on the other side the system will generate what it's being asked for and send to where you've requested.

Auto E-Mail as in as soon as the log is completed it sends, or you thinking you have to put your info in and then hit the send button to send?

Be warned I got a ticket in PA for a similar situation. I printed off the copies of log sheets from the Omnitracs unit and started my paper logs from the last duty status. Cop said that was unacceptable and I was supposed to fill out paper log sheets the same as I was using at the time for the previous 7 days, so that everything was uniform. "Failure to reconstruct previous 7 days due to onboard recorder failure" was the citation. I was in a Ryder rental due to my truck being broke down.

I'll have to find the ticket when I get home. He didn't put me OOS and it was a relatively small fine so I just paid it and moved on

That really does not make sense... you had proof of the prior 7 days.. just because they were not paper logs is unreal.

Sounds like an overzealous officer. I can't find anything that says the log sheets must be exactly the same.
I ran into a similar problem years ago regarding securement of hazmat in a trailer. The term "secured" left a lot of wiggle room to be abused, and the officer took it to the extreme.

Hence my suggestion of just going "off duty" in the previous 7 days, when u switch from one mode to another i.e. (eld to paper & back)

New sheet, strike-through off duty, keep it moving
