Now is that on loaded miles only or is that the average of all driving miles? How many miles per week is that on?

That was loaded miles over a 2 week pay period. I'm on 27% percentage pay. I had a lot of down time due to the truck and trailers breaking down. I'll average out the next check. The recruiter did tell me that drivers on % pay average out about over 1000 a week. I'm also inexperienced so that's a factor of how many loads I can do in a week.

05/28/14- I'm picking up a load of pipe going about an hour away for delivery. The amount I'll get is around $600. The only thing that sucks is the long wait time to get loaded. I have plenty of movies to watch.

So..If I'm reading this right-you're getting $600 at 27% for a delivery 60mi from shipper? So..(rounding to whole numbers) a 60mi load of pipe is paying $1800? :biggrin_2556: Someone show me my mistake here.. So Wylie is getting roughly $30 a mile?

I'm joining up with Wylie this coming week. My first big company gig since I bent over for CRST. My current employer is an awesome human being and has me home every night, but I can't get regular work. Getting home every night is great, but staying home every day sucks! Here's to hoping I can survive 62 mph lol

Dispatch told me I was getting $600 for this load, I'll find out for sure once I get the pay settlement. The pay settlement shows how much the company got paid and then your cut from that. Bbbbut...Some of these loads are under one bill but with multiple drivers delivering them. So the company might be getting paid $5000 for the load but then they split it among 2-3 drivers and show how much their part of the load cost without showing the full cost of the load. If your part of the load is $1800, you are going to get 27% of $1800 not the grand total the company is getting. That's my theory.

I think the load pays 600 to Wylie and you'll get 27 percent of the 600. I may be wrong though!?

Hey reddove. I'm glad to hear you are doing well, despite your mechanical issues. Some more experience, and your equipment under control, and your bank account should be smokin from receiving all that dough! :biggrin_25525:
