Rate Cons are how a company shows revenue just in case the tax man comes knocking. The brokerage the work was done for has a copy, so you can bet the payee had better have one. I don't think the "boy wonder" wants to look.

 

Well I got that call from the recruiting dept, just not sure if I wanna make the jump. Finding and booking loads isn't an issue for me. I'm trying to get them to give me a list of brokers they authorize us to use but says get from dm. I'm wanting to get ahead of the game if I decide to come on over. I'm just seeing many the are not happy or regretting going there. This may be for one or more reasons that may or may not be a carrier issue or maybe it's new and overwhelming for someone not experienced with freight booking, maybe they're trying to sti k in a not so hot area, idk. I'm just gonna sit here on the fence and ponder I guess.

 

I know I'm not used to freight booking rates and lanes and such and im doing ok but I need to unlearn what I had learned being with a mega carrier lol

I could be wrong here, but I don't feel as if anyone is purposely trying to screw me. I could be being naive on that but I just havn't got that impression.

The brokers list is small, at least for us flatbed drivers anyway. It's gotten smaller since I got here in April.

The problem is rate cons. The system for it here isn't working. It's been the reason for broker loss.

And that's no way to get a new company off the ground. You would think being tied in with celadon it would be set up turn key and run with it with no major issues considering the experience of celadon and know how. But who am I to assume, lol
