That's pretty spot on. I didn't know the GM doesn't like us booking our own. Explains a lot.

I think I can comment on some of this without feeling like I don't know what I'm talking about:
If I'm missing what the poster is saying, then my fault, but I'm always a little confused when people say that.
As I said, I can't speak to any particular GM or DM though, so maybe someone really told people not to book their own freight. That seems pretty bad to me though. Eagle drivers are independent lease/operators, they're in charge of where they go/what they haul.
rmacjr Thanks this. -
Roknric, Westenntrucker and JTT Thank this. -
Eagle ops do we have a updated broker list?
-
We added another this week, but I forget the name offhand. Something like GCNV (but it's not exactly that, it's something close I believe), but we are currently having an issue with Pepsi (it's a paperwork thing) so they're out for right now.Roknric Thanks this. -

Rich-Way Transportation,Inc.
Hybrid Logistics Inc
System Transport Inc
Ultra Logistics Inc
Tadmore Transportation LLC
Mercer Transportation
Mercer has some pretty good stuff on occasion I believe. Not sure about the others just yet.
When you meet with your DM after orientation, don't leave without getting a print out of the broker list. It can be a huge help. -
In all honesty from what I've seen so far, if you're going dry van or reefer (eventually) it won't be easy but it's doable. Flatbed is new to Celadon/Eagle, and it's shows. The knoxville terminal definently has issues that doesn't help the situation much either. Like Fr8 says, some issues others are having I'm not and vice versa. I can second every syllable Kryptonite is saying though.
I had a situation where I booked a load. Shot the info plus rate sheet to my DM. 30 min later the broker calls me back and says they haven't received it. I'm thinking here we go..... Called my DM no answer. Finally get through 10min later I'm told it was sent. Called the broker to confirm they still haven't received it. Called my DM back, only to find out she's at lunch. Now I'm stalling the broker. Finally catch my DM to find out the rate sheet was sent to someone named Aubry. I asked why wasn't it sent to my contact, and was told they all work together anyway it doesn't matter. My contact sits right next to Aubry, and you guessed it, she had nothing. So I give the broker my DM's number while pleading for him not to take the load. He calls her, it finally gets worked out. And.........by the grace of God I get loaded, not in time to make an on time delivery, but at least make somthing.
I tried to book that load at 830am. The entire process wasn't complete till around 2pm. I'm leaving out the time it took to get dispatched and fuel card activated. It's been like this for nearly every load I've booked for myself. Not as bad as that instance, but still not good. I knew I couldn't be the only one going through this, and Kryptonite's experiences confirms it. How are customers ie brokers supposed to view these occurrences?
Some of us didn't come here to be dispatched. Period. It seems to me though that's exactly what we're being pigeon holed into.
Here's a bit of info I've been wondering about the last couple of days too. I wonder what the rate of success/failure has been on a per terminal basis............... -
I need to change my DM can't even help me get a load it's just really sucks right now in Indy finding freight and our customer base not that huge right now I been told him to sent me a copy of the broker list from yesterday and still haven't got it.I literally using screenshots of what guys post on here.
