Thanks for all the input. I'm going to write that contact down. I have a small list of brokers that was emailed to me but I don't think it's the full list.

Well they gave flatbeders a choice in orientation for a lonestar or Pete 579 and that's it I know trucks were slim pickings I got one of the last lonestars for van. A lot of drivers were upset they had to call all over to find a truck they wanted and then try to find a way there to sign for it.

You're just moving the money around, but it's the same thing.

If you take a week off and you have fixed costs of $1100/week, you're going to owe $1100 at the end of that week. You can pay it up front, get creative with your trip sheets like I mentioned, or just run to recover it when you get back, but you're still going to be down $1100 for that week either way.

Now psychologically, a lot of guys are living hand-to-mouth so they would prefer to do anything to avoid a week of recouping losses, but practically speaking, it's works out the same in the end.

I work with CH so much, that they have reminded me and Eagle that I need to update my insurance by 07/01. My last company used CH a lot running those Oranges from Cali to midwest, and right now, I'm missing all the action, lugging this van.

It won't be long, and TX will be a tropical rain forest. Going to Indy with a load from Laredo, took me all day, and many phone calls to get loaded, I keep forgetting that things are done differently in Laredo than anywhere else.
